There’s obv very intense debate about whether Dems *have* to go with Kamala if and when Biden drops out. But even if it’s tricky for KH, whoever the nominee is *definitely* has to embrace his lefty policy pivot, right? Makes me wonder if Bernie/AOC are not as clueless as some say

Like everyone else, wondering where the Harris TV spots are given chatter about Trump backers blanketing airwaves during PA baseball games etc.

The Lina Khan / Reid Hoffman news cycle is awesome mostly because it hinges on a sometimes-obscure-to-normies regulator reaching superstar/supervillain status. Only happens bc she’s having a historic run.

If I’m not mistaken, a dash more populist policy detail in tonight’s Kamala Harris speech than previous. Still touting the Affordable Care Act, which is highly questionable, and gotta think it would be easy to add a pro-Lina Khan line, but it’s something.

Weird thing about this story is its premise that picking Shapiro would register with actual undecided or moderate voters as snubbing the left. Which I don't think is remotely clear? nytimes.com/2024/08/01/us/…

Like her not doing any interviews, the lack of any issues/policies pages on Kamala Harris' website—while perhaps politically wise!—gets, well, weirder by the day. And makes it tough not to assume surrogates promising to go easier on business have the campaign's blessing.
