Exactly, Rayner misses the point. It’s government negligence (not just theirs), that has led to significant discrepancy between available stock & demand. That creates upward pressure on rents, (and by default ‘bidding wars’). It’s not bidding wars pushing rents, it’s the opposite

You miss the point Sasha Yanshin ; once wealth is obtained, this has to be invested against the head winds of inflation. So wealth finds its way to property as much as the other way around, (or it’s invested in business/shares as you allude to).
