The final first-author paper from my PhD is out! We characterise filaments of the metabolic protein Adc and compare it to the related protein LdcI, and find some surprising differences. A great project with the team at Institut de Biologie Structurale! nature.com/articles/s4200…

This 2.45 Å structure of a Providencia stuartii arginine decarboxylase along with a filamentous structure resolved in the same publication sheds light on the polymerisation mechanism by which these arginine decarboxylases form filaments. #cryoem #singleparticle #structuralbiology
