Adam Ant, who turns 70 today, got his start playing ‘the kid’ in Derek Jarman’s 1977 punk fantasia, Jubilee. He starred alongside Toyah Willcox and Ian Charleson, who went on to greater fame in the Oscar-winning Chariots of Fire. Charleson’s career was cut short by AIDS, aged 40.
