The Stimulator of interferon genes (STING) is key to the innate immune system's response to pathogenic DNA. STING dimers in the ER change shape upon binding the secondary messanger cGAMP (green), and this allows them to oligomerize and move to the Golgi. #blender #b3d #sciart
