It's always a thing of beauty to see how sunlight changes the scenery. We waited until the sun moved behind the mountains and with shadows growing longer and longer just one part of the whole valley was lit by the sun.

When seasons collide! It was one of the very few times we had winter-like conditions with some hoarfrost on the tips of the trees. I love such changing conditions and the colors autumn brings. This year we had an unusually warm October and a delayed larch-color season.

The Foliage of blueberry bushes and dry grass in contrast to rocks was already spectacular but the hoar frost gave the whole scenery an unreal touch. I love the little frost-covered larch tree surrounded by blueberry bushes - it almost looks like a natural Christmas tree.

During my latest trip to this glacier, I got incredibly lucky with the light and the cloud coverage. As the sun was setting it created this beautiful warm light and the very clear air above the glacier brought all the details in the ice to life.

This is an image I took a while back but I love it because it shows the magic the change of season can bring. There is hoarfrost on the trees, the larch trees are in full color, fog is rising above the lake, and on the mountains in the background lays the first snow.

It's one of the little gems you can discover in the Swiss mountains. Not only was the hike with this view very rewarding, but the whole hike through fairytale lichens in an old larch forest was just an amazing experience.

Winter is coming and the leaves are dancing in the evening sun. Hopefully, winter will take over our rainy days here soon and cover everything in a soft blanket of snow. I love finding such little gems during the change of seasons along the road.

I love such overcast, foggy conditions in combination with snowy landscapes. They create an almost minimalistic and monochromatic scenery by itself. I feel like a kid in a candy store and as soon as there is snow, I’m out in the field.
