It has been a month today since the Pershore College Horticulture Apprentices planted the bare root Yew hedge. Yew, Taxus baccata, is steeped in mystery and folklore as it has the ability to regenerate even when apparently dead or after being uprooted or storm damaged.

The Japanese Maple's are looking fantastic at the moment in our Italianate Garden. Did you know that the botanical name is Acer palmatum. Acer meaning sharp and palmatum meaning hand-like, referring to the shape of the leaves. Today they are really glowing in the sunshine! 🍁🌞
