.ICRC mourns the loss of our colleague Abdellatif Ali Moussa who was killed in Gaza along with several family members. The toll of this conflict on frontline workers is unacceptable. Humanitarian workers and civilians are not part of the fight. They must be protected.

False information about us has been circulating online, regarding accusations of espionage activities in the middle of humanitarian operations. We firmly deny these allegations.

We have now successfully facilitated the release and transfer of 17 hostages held in Gaza. The ICRC was not involved in the negotiations, and its role has been to facilitate the agreement as a neutral intermediary.
