Nat 5 Maths Simultaneous equations “Use the elimination method as efficiently as possible to solve this system of equations.” 4𝑥 − 2𝑦 = 20 𝑥 + 5𝑦 = −17 What do we think: fair question or not? Should students be expected to know that it is better to eliminate 𝑥 here?
