Fantastic to share new work led by Sarah Whiteside published today in Science Immunology. We find that CD4+ conventional T cells acquire suppressive functions upon Treg depletion limiting efficacy of Treg-targeted therapies. Collaboration with Lugli Lab🧵👇 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
We had a fantastic time at #GrangetownCareersWeek2024 last night talking to the children about the importance of cancer research and letting them operate on our anatomical body Ted! Thanks to Community Gateway for having us and to Dr Mathew Clement and Dr Kevin Norris for helping out!
Thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this event today. Sharing the research that is supported by Wales Cancer Research Centre will hopefully strengthen Wales as a key driver of health care research. Systems Immunity Research Institute Cardiff University School of Medicine

Myself and a team of dedicated brain cancer researchers are raising money for Cancer Research Wales | Ymchwil Canser Cymru through May 2025. For every £1 we will walk, run, swim or cycle 1 mile to raise £1,680 (the same distance as Wales's coast).
