Happy International #Cat Day! #DidYouKnow that the state cat of Massachusetts is the tabby cat? Tabby is not a breed of cat, but a coat type seen in many breeds of domestic cats. Tabby cats have a distinctive “M” shaped marking on their foreheads and striped patterns. #animals

January 27th marks the 79th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. In 2005, the UN began holding ceremonies to honor the lives of Holocaust victims and ensure we continue to educate ourselves on historical atrocities to understand their cause and avoid their repetition.

February became Black History Month because of Carter G. Woodson. Woodson was a scholar who felt young African Americans weren’t being taught enough about their ancestors achievements. Black History Month continues his legacy by honoring black Americans who shaped our society!

Happy Women’s History Month! This tradition began to honor the influential women whose contributions to society were often unrecognized. Today, women’s history month is a symbolic gesture to commemorate those women’s achievements and inspire future generations. 💜🥳
