In what was a first, I was mistaken for Congresswoman-Elect, Nancy Mace , while outside of the courthouse today. He was completely disappointed when he realized he was meeting the County Treasurer instead.

Today would have been my cousin Elizabeth’s 40th bday. She passed away just before our 17th bdays from Cystic Fibrosis. I have gotten to know many living with CF and have been so thankful for the progress made on treatments. I just wish she had been around to witness them, too.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Donald Fowler yesterday. Fowler served as the chairman of South Carolina Democratic Party from 1971-1980 and as national chair of the Democratic National Committee from 1995-1997. He has entrusted #SCPC with his papers, which are currently closed for processing.

Don Fowler was one of the best you’ll ever meet. He was full of tough love—ready to give you plenty of advice, but also plenty of praise. I got to know him through the Dem Party, of course, but it was through ACYPL that we really cemented our friendship. Rest In Peace, friend!🙏
