Cutting the mobile internet connection in Myanmar is significant for a number of reasons. Young people rely on mobile internet to mobilise and document protests. It also disconnects people in rural areas who may not have a fixed line or WiFi connection. Is this the new norm?

I asked one young protestor how they plan to defend themselves against the Tatmadaw. This was the response. “We made molotovs, slingshots, nails, boiling water, and traditional Burmese swords. I have also suggested the mechanic guys create Chu Ko Nu.” #WhatsHapppeningInMyanmar

The UN Sect General is right when he says “a firm, unified international response is urgently needed” to address the crisis in Myanmar. Without UN Security Council action, the people of Myanmar need and deserve immediate, tough, coordinated action from all governments who agree.

An arrest warrant for me with penalty code 505(A) was announced on states TV tonight for simply doing my job as a civilian: using my platform to speak out the truth. I will not be able to report much on here anymore. Please always pay attention to news in Myanmar until we win 💪🏼
