1. Create an environment that CYP whose vulnerabilities impact on attendance avoid or leave.
Or
2. Create an environment in which CYP whose vulnerabilities would otherwise impact on attendance can flourish.

Our ATTEND launch included a look at what Working Together has to say about medical evidence. It states that clinical evidence should not be required for absence to be authorised & that verbal evidence may be accepted. Leaders can & do use their judgement.

Today’s launch of the ATTEND framework was an opportunity to celebrate relationships, care, personalisation & creative tenacity. Thanks to thrivetrust_UK & #DRET for case-studies that made our collective hearts sing, to all schools for the richness of debate & to our👌speakers.

We just saw Laura Meredith play Jodie in Middle Child’s ‘Baby He Loves You’.
Family bias aside, it’s brilliant theatre - the standing ovation absolutely deserved.
Strongly recommended, unless you’re female & about to tie the knot. 😭
