Restaurants are booming in the Congestion Relief Zone. According to @wsj, "Retail availability rates during the second quarter fell to 12.8%—the lowest rate since late 2014." Congestion pricing is good for business!

Congestion pricing working as intended and then falling out of the news makes Hochul’s last minute faltering even more infuriating. The defenders were right all along!

A belated 34th Street Busway is a BIG win for riders and better than no busway, but riders across the city are still waiting for their stalled bus projects to move forward too. If only Fordham Road's bus riders had a convenient rezoning agreement to bargain with the Mayor :(

Good news, but a maddening policy implementation process. And it seems that DOT is being forced to go through yet another round of public feedback even though CB6 and others have conducted numerous sessions on the busway. Just paint the damn thing.

I didn’t get barraged with comments from car apologists like I would have 6 months ago. Congestion pricing is winning!

Every single time I walk in the city, I’m nearly hit trying to cross to the curb. Cars come flying past with zero regard for pedestrians. And the craziest part? Some of these drivers have the nerve to get mad at me like I’m in their way. They see you crossing and don’t slow down

PATH 33rd Street line is suspended again. And WTC line is only running every 20 minutes **by choice**. How about those jackasses at the Port Authority start running more trains on the WTC line since that appears to be the only part of the system that works at the moment?

Yeah immigrants have to perform unpaid labor in exchange for being able to move to a new location. That’s a totally original idea that has never been done before

I propose we redefine “transplant”: not someone who moved here, but someone who treats NYC as a pit stop before fleeing to the suburbs. If you’d rather sweat on the subway into your 80s than raise kids in Nassau County, you’re a New Yorker. I don’t care where you were born.

Guy loading cars one by one onto two 18-wheelers parked in the bike lane and curses at anyone who gets upset at him. Of course NYPD traffic enforcement is MIA. Law-abiding cyclists trying to get to where they need to go safely do not exist as far as Jessica Tisch is concerned.

Streetsblog says Eric Adams has hit the brakes the 34th Street busway → Zohran Mamdani calls him out for it → Local pols push for it in rezoning negotiations → Eric Adams announces the 34th Street busway

More abject incompetence from the Adams administration. Can’t wait to kick them out of Gracie Mansion. patch.com/new-york/upper…

Buses on 34th St crawl at just 5.5 mph — so it wasn't difficult for us to win 🚇 Riders Alliance +Transportation Alternatives's annual bus race yesterday. But change is finally coming in the form of a long-delayed busway, thanks to the leadership of Keith Powers, Erik Bottcher and so many others.
