Forty years ago this month I joined Radio West. Such great memories of a wonderful time spent with very special people - many of whom are still friends today & those we have lost remain in our hearts. And the jacket still fits!

Went to see the wonderful Gladys Knight at The Beacon in Bristol yesterday- it is 45 years since I had the privilege of introducing her on stage at The Newcastle City Hall in 1979 & now aged 80 she can still pack a punch with her vocals. She & her band were just brilliant.

It’s National Radio Day - so proud to have had a career in the greatest form of media & still on the air nearly 50 years on. Thankfully the caterpillar has gone from under my nose these days. A salute to all my fellow radio chums on this radio day.

There are people & times in our lives that stay with us forever. These lovely folk are amongst the best. It was great to be in Newcastle on Friday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Metro Radio, one of the greatest stations ever to broadcast. Proud to have been a part of it all

I’ve noticed many fellow writers/authors put ‘The End’ at the close of their stories. I never do. I like to think it leaves the reader with the opportunity to think ‘what if’ if I don’t give an official end. Am I wrong or doesn’t it matter?
