We are pleased to hear the Chancellor Sir Jeremy Hunt MP has recommitted to raising benefits by 10.1% in line with inflation, following sustained pressure from campaigners and MPs. This news will bring relief to blind and partially sighted people across the UK: rnib.in/CoLNov

The Chancellor also announced that there will be new #CostOfLiving payments next year. For those on disability benefits, but not on means-tested benefits, the £150 payment announced will amount to just £2.88 extra per week. This simply will not go far enough
