Catching up with today’s news and it’s truly shocking that the inquiry into the #GrenfellTower disaster shows that no one should have died and this should never have happened. It’s a scandal that the residents were badly failed by so so many different organisations.

The The Children's Society's recently published #GoodChildhoodReport highlights a worrying trend around low wellbeing amongst young people in the UK. We all must act to overturn the decline in our children’s wellbeing: childrenssociety.org.uk/good-childhood

One in six young people (aged 10 to 17) living in households in financial strain had low life satisfaction, according to our latest annual #GoodChildhoodReport. The Government must end the two-child limit and benefit cap: childrenssociety.org.uk/good-childhood

197,000 young people left secondary school with low wellbeing in 2022. We must do better, starting with better data. We're joining charities brought together by Pro Bono Economics to call for universal wellbeing measurement: probonoeconomics.com/charting-a-hap… #ChildrenAtTheTable

Really good to meet just now with the new Children’s Minister Janet Daby MP and Early Education Minister Stephen Morgan MP to share some of The Children's Society priorities. Hugely encouraged by such a positive meeting and the Ministers’ passion and commitment to change children’s lives

We've delivered vital support to over 72,000 young people across the UK over the past year as rising costs and stretched public services push more children into crisis. “We've stepped up, but this can’t continue without wider change” says Mark Russell 🇺🇦 (he/him). childrenssociety.org.uk/what-we-do/our…
