It was great to speak Alzheimer's Society event yesterday where I reflected on the impact of dementia on those who live with it, and their loved ones, including in my own family. I spoke about how high quality care helps those with dementia live active & independent lives for longer.

We were pleased to welcome the Health Minister to our Belfast office today. With dementia cases in NI projected to rise by 51% by 2040, urgent action is needed. We look forward to working with Department of Health and the SPPG to drive transformation in dementia care and support.

Head of Policy Jen Keen writes about why we don't need to wait to improve social care. There are tangible, implementable and cost effective changes we can make now to improve social care. Dementia training is one such change, and the consensus behind it is growing all the time.
