The Toronto Nationals take game 1 of their 2nd round action with a 3-2 win and controlled most of this game as they look like they are firing on all cylinders right now. Got a little careless at the end to let VK get within 1 but the Nats look really hard to beat!

Great work along the wall by Tobias Iantorno to help set up Sett Ursomarzo for the Nats 1st goal. Defensive breakdown down low and Dominic DiVincentis had no chance to stop this one. This gave the Nats the early momentum they were looking for!

Nick Messina with a PP goal and a perfect shot bar down in tight to get this game tied back up 1-1.Penalties and mistakes are magnified with so much on the line & will kill you in the playoffs! Special teams can win or lose you games and VK showed their PP is working just fine!

Marco Mignosa right where he should back side post for the easy tap in to put the Nats up 2-1. Joseph Ianniello had no help down low while trying to cover 2 Nats. VK with 2 D zone breakdowns and Nats make them pay with 2 goals. Make mistakes in this league and they will cost u!

Tobias Iantorno with an absolute cannon! Nats up 3-1!

3:57 left in the game and VK comes back to make this one more interesting. Great vision by Nick Messina to see the high guy sneaking in and a great quick shot by Dman Luca D'Amato to get VK back within one 3-2.

Notice where all the goals were scored from and with our goal tracking software system this shows where Iantorno ripped one from and the danger areas that have to be defended better to win games. The team that plays and defends better in these areas will most likely get the win!

The Vaughan Kings are going to make this the series to watch as they came back with a very strong performance and some adjustments to beat the Nats 2-1 yesterday. Series all tied up 1-1! Team defense was outstanding for VK in this one. Video highlights to follow later today.

The Reps have found their scoring touch again and beat the Sens in game 1 last night 4-3 of this wildcard bracket. Its Harry vs Gary in this one and the Reps had the answers for the chip and chase stretch game the Sens like to play and their PP was making them pay!

The Toronto Titans were losing 2-0 and being out played for 2 periods but came back late as a couple penalties and a D zone breakdown helped propel them to a 4-2 win over the Majors. Titans are looking very beatable and look for the Majors to make a serious push in game 2!

VK's 1st goal was a bit controversial but as you can see Lucas Buzziol waved at the shot from the point but never touched it and was just aggressive grabbing the rebound and putting it past Nick Tsatsanis. Good goal for VK!

Vaughan Kings strike again with a good old fashion power mover splitting the defensemen by Luca D'Amato which proved to be the game winner in this one. VK ties this series up 1-1!

Nats Dman Shawn Ramsey takes this one from 200 ft away with an end 2 end rush and the only one to beat Mikael Kingo on this night. Ramsey is one of the best skating Dmen in the GTHL and proved it once again. Kingo was outstanding earning the 1st victory for VK in this 2nd round.
