FSD v12.3 was very courteous for my first drive and left a gap for another car to turn left out of a side alley, something that no prior version has done. That other driver was gesturing for me to proceed, but FSD doesn't yet understand gestures, LOL.

FSD v12.3 has some regressions compared to 12.2.1. In this clip, rather than pulling over to the curb in front of my house (2nd one on right) like 12.2.1 did, it follows the curb into the end of the cul-de-sac and then gives up.

FSD v12.3 deviates from the route in this parking lot in a regression from v12.2.1 which basically handled it perfectly in contrast to v11 which was very erratic and dangerous. I've tested every FSD release I've ever had on this route.

FSD v12.3 again deviates from the route at the end. I'm guessing this is a consequence of Tesla ripping out the "attempt to park" functionality that resulted in that parking lot fender bender for v12.2.1.

FSD v12.3 gets confused by a bus turnout, thinking it's a right turn lane. Bus turnouts used to be a problem with the early versions of FSD, but have been handled well by v11. I consider this to be a regression.

FSD v12.3 regresses yet again, and fails to proceed to creep for visibility after the pedestrian crosses. Also, note how far behind the limit line it stops. I never saw v11 fail to proceed at this intersection.

FSD v12.3 and v12.2.1 inappropriately and dangerously slow down to about 25 MPH for this flashing yellow signal ahead sign every time. Traffic on this road generally moves at 50-60 MPH, putting me at risk of being rear-ended. I never saw slowing with v11.

Oh well, the perfect lane alignment of FSD v12.2.1 was nice while it lasted. With v12.3, it regresses to v11's rude way of being more centered and blocking right turns. The car veering left is me intervening.

For me, the problems with FSD v12.3 far outnumber the improvements compared to v12.2.1. You could only call this "arguably v13" in the sense that 13 is an unlucky number, LOL. Hopefully the next release will be better.

FSD v12.3 bug or feature? Distance from the curb can vary with this right turn, but I've never seen it practically hugging the curb like this without a pedestrian. Did it intend to get me safely out of traffic flow knowing I had to wait for the pedestrian?

FSD v12.3 had a major fail for me this evening on one of the funkier intersections in town. Nav was planning to turn left onto Palm as shown in blue, but FSD started driving in the wrong direction on Main as shown in pink. I'll retest once I get v12.3.2.1.

FSD v12.3.3 would have mowed down some pylons had I not disengaged. I drive this route often. This morning, FSD put me into its preferred lane, then changes its mind too late to switch to the other lane. Both v11 and v12 generally handle this OK, but not today.

Huntington Beach City Attorney Michael Gates is lying about the 2021 oil spill and airshow cancellation, and I've got the receipts to prove it on my Surf City Sentinel page on Facebook: facebook.com/surfcitysentin…
