The humanitarian situation in Gaza is horrific. I renew my appeals for a humanitarian ceasefire and the immediate release of all hostages. All those with influence must exert it to ensure respect for the rules of war, end the suffering and avoid a spillover of the conflict.

Polarization and dehumanization are being fueled by a tsunami of disinformation. We must stand up to the forces of antisemitism, anti-Muslim bigotry and all forms of hate.

Horrific news out of Gaza that at least ten children have reportedly died of malnutrition and dehydration so far, while many more are on the brink.   1 in 6 children under the age of two in north Gaza are acutely malnourished.

We urge 🇮🇱 to reverse the decision to expand settlements in the West Bank. This increases tensions and runs counter to international efforts to de-escalate ahead of the upcoming religious festivities. All settlements are illegal under international law and an obstacle to peace.
