At 25, Muhammad Ali was undisputed heavyweight champion with 9 title defences and had knockout wins over the likes of Sonny Liston 2x, Floyd Patterson, and Archie Moore. At 25, Usyk hadn't even turned pro.

As much as I have slightly different views on the Usyk-Holyfield comparison, Stephen Edwards’s opinions are always interesting. That said, the fact that he didn’t find a spot for Walcott in his list of the 17 greatest HW of all time truly broke my heart 😄 boxingscene.com/articles/daily…

On the day of his 68th birthday, I reached out to Gianfranco Rosi to ask for his permission to republish this interview I conducted with him a few years ago, revisiting some of the key moments of his long journey between the ropes: boxepunch.com/en/boxing-hist…

It’s not that difficult to admit that these were two very close fights and 1-1 is a fair score. Some people believe Bivol won both and some believe Beterbiev won both. “Robbery” shouts are dumb

All of this reminds me of a scene from a famous Italian comedy from the 1970s: "Il Secondo Tragico Fantozzi". Low-ranking office workers obsequiously praise their director, shouting: "He’s a beautiful Director! A saint! An apostle! Long live our Director!" youtube.com/watch?v=9EGbe8…

I don't know who would win (probably Nery), but I do know for sure that I'd be rooting for an asteroid to hit the ring during the fight.

"Promoters rely upon representations from fighters, their managers, and trainers when establishing bouts" is just a creative way to ease one's conscience.

I'm baffled by how many people still refer to Usyk as a slick, defensive fighter, like a new Chris Byrd. He's been on the front foot in almost all his heavyweight fights, and he's been hurting or stopping huge opponents one after another. Usyk beats any version of Haye by KO.

This guy doesn't realize that the only reason Haye went the distance with Wlad is that he was in survival mode for 35 out of 36 minutes.

It's a two-horse race between Oleksandr Usyk and Lennox Lewis, IMO. But the Italians Nino Benvenuti and Duilio Loi aren't far from the top of the list. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

Just throwing it out there: what if Bivol doesn’t want to defend his belts in Russia, but at the same time doesn’t want to say it out loud?
