I'm thinking I might start making Kotabe/Nakaue-style 2D artwork of the characters I've modeled. Would be nice to get back some of my 2D chops that I've lost since focusing more on 3D in recent years.

I think people might not notice how Mario 2d art has changed since the early 00's, so I wrote down the differences. Definitely for the better

I think it's worthwhile to also point out how this correlates to the gradual changes on the 3D side of things. Much of this is my own speculation, but it's interesting to see the progression. Keep squishing, Nintendo.
