Yesterday in AL, the power of fair and representative maps resonated loudly.

18 (!) primary candidates competed for the new AL-2 opportunity district, and we saw a 122% increase in voter participation vs 22. Amazing!

There is no cavalry coming. No miracle solution. No saviors.

In the end, we, the American people - not any of our institutions - have to save our democracy by voting in defense of that democracy this fall.

Given the AL decision and lifting of Louisiana stay happened in June, characterizing an October hearing as too hasty feels rich… 🤔
