In Jakarta, HR/VP Josep Borrell Fontelles co-chaired the EU-ASEAN Ministerial Meeting and attended the ASEAN Regional Forum. He also held a series of bilateral meetings. Discussions focused on how to deepen bilateral ties and to work together on various regional and global issues.

I called on the new Vice Foreign Minister Pahala Nugraha Mansury. With his background as entrepreneur and as Deputy Minister for SOEs, we focused on completing the CEPA free trade talks. We also agreed to further dialogue about trade irritants on raw materials and deforestation.
