A great weekend as the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage made its way to North Platte! I joined Bishop Hanefeldt of the Catholic Diocese of Grand Island in celebrating Mass and then leading a Eucharistic Procession through the city. It was amazing to worship our Lord in this way!

Today, I met my brother Bishop Hanefeldt of the Catholic Diocese of Grand Island on the "Nine Mile Bridge" over the Platte River, the dividing line between our two dioceses. A truly special moment along the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, part of the National Eucharistic Revival.

Scheduling a prison visit for the Drexel route was no easy feat due to the permissions involved. I tried multiple places and got a few no's before we got a yes to enter this prison in Fort Stockton. God knew just where we needed to be!!
