Polo boys basketball with a strong 59-42 win tonight over Durand. 4 Marcos score in double digits; Tyler Merdian - 15, Brock Soltow - 14, Carson Jones - 12 and Khalil Sankey - 10.

Congratulations to Nicole Boelens on being selected to the Sauk Valley All-Area first team for volleyball. Nicole was 2nd in the area in kills, 4th in digs and 7th in blocks and aces. Teah Almasy, Natalie Nelson, Lindee Poper, and Bekah Ziegler made the honorable mention team.

Congratulations to Polo running back/linebacker Avery Grenoble on his selection to the Champaign News-Gazette’s 86th All-State football team. The Marcos leading tackler and rusher was one of the special mention 100. Great job Avery.

Congratulations to Lady Marco volleyball senior Nicole Boelens. Nicole was recently selected to the Champaign News-Gazette 40th All-State Volleyball Team Special Mention 50. Great job Nicole.

Polo wrestling coop takes 3rd at the Polo Wrestling Invite

Polo Wrestling Coop takes 4th at the Kewanee invite. The team was led by Wyatt Doty (1st place, 132), Brayden Altherr (2nd place, 152), Wyatt Queckboerner (2nd place, 182) and Daniel Engel (3rd place, 285). Great job wrestlers!

4 Polo/Forreston/Eastland/Milledgeville Coop wrestlers advance out of the Dixon Regional; Wyatt Doty (126 -2nd), Braydon Altherr (152-3rd), Wyatt Queckboerner (182-2nd), and Daniel Engel (285-1st). Great job!

Polo girls defeat Hiawatha 59-17 to advance to the regional semifinal. Lady Marcos will play Indian Creek on Tuesday at 7:30. Game will be played at Indian Creek.

Polo Coop wrestlers Daniel Engel and Wyatt Doty both advance to the state tournament in Champaign next weekend.

Lady Marcos second half comeback falls short as they fall to Pecatonica 50-40 in the regional final. Great effort tonight Lady Marcos!

Great weekend in Champaign for the Polo wrestling coop. Daniel Engel finishes 6th in the 285 lb weight class and Wyatt Doty captures 3rd at 126.
