A walk through the dunes from Prestatyn to Gronant. Little Terns were in fine form. 2 singing Grasshopper Warblers, Whinchat + 250+ Sanderling in various plumages. Small Copper, Gatekeepers, Small Heaths + Broad-bodied Chasers. Also several Common Star-of-Bethlehem Gronant Little Terns

Amazing numbers of Green Long-horn moths in Trefiw oak woods, Snowdonia yesterday. Well over 100 on the wing. With a backdrop of Wood Warblers, Pied Flycatcher, Redstarts, Tree Pipit and Cuckoo, it was quite spectacular. Those horns! British Moths

A great bird race day with Levi Gravett Tom and Caroline. 129 species final team total - Nightjars, both Grouse, Wood Warbler, Cattle Egret, displaying Ruff, Greenshank, Puffins, Whinchat, Ring Ouzels, Grey-headed + Blue-headed Wagtails, Bittern, Little Owl and many more☺️👍

Great Orme limestones were class this morning - shame I only had a couple of hours. Woodlark, Hooded Crow, 2 Whinchat, 7 Tree Pipit, 3 Swift, 5 Willow Warblers, 10 Wheatear, 4 Whitethroat, Blackcap, 50+ Redpoll and 5 Siskin on the move.

An enjoyable bird race walk around Cemlyn with Levi Gravett . Joined by the legend Stephen Culley - cracking male Grey-headed Wagtail, a superb male Blue-headed Wagtail and a female type Blue-headed. Also Little Owl, Arctic + Common Tern, Turnstone + Redshank. 100 is nearly up 👍

A cracking morning at Ynyslas Ceredigion Birds - migrants inc. 7 Whinchat, 50+ Wheatears, 2 White Wagtail. Lots of waders inc. Wood Sandpiper, 50+ Whimbrel, 8 Black tailed+ 7 Bar tailed Godwits, 18 Turnstone. 8 Red throated Divers, 4 Common Scoter, Arctic and 4 Sandwich Tern ☺️👍

Four stunning summer plumaged Great Northern Divers still present off Aberdesach, Gwynedd this evening. This site can hold 30-40 birds earlier in the year but most have now moved on. Also 12 Sandwich Terns fishing offshore.

This fine male Whinchat, 5 wheatear, 8 Common Sand, 3 Dunlin, 3 Whimbrel and 4 Sandwich tern at RSPB Conwy Conwy rspb 6.30-7.15 this morning. Lots of singing warblers too. Great start to the day ☺️👍

Sunday highlights - Green Hairstreak at Llanymynech Rocks, 5 Common Sandpipers, 2 flocks Dunlin and Barn Owl on the overnight recorder over Penrhyn Bay and some shocking scenes at RSPB Conwy where Shelduck Testosterone was very evident! 100+ Shelduck present on the estuary.

A movement of ducks recorded over Penrhyn Bay last few nights. Big flock of Common Scoter, a close group of Gadwall (video 2) and some Teal. However the four flocks of Whimbrel (video 1) was the highlight. The ‘seven whistler’ definitely on the move north ☺️👍 #nocmig
