Congrats to Gary, Claire and the LDLR team for another successful event. From our perspective, very pleased with 100% read rate on all 3 timing points. One temp outage in the live feed around 1am which (sods law) coincided with my trying (unsuccessfully) to get some sleep.

Our busiest week of the year now: 5 days of configuring, sorting, charging, testing and packing for the Parish Walk. 1620 walkers, 17 checkpoints, technical team of 4 (Me, Sue, Matt & Mark) and a hundred and one things to check. Looking forward to it! Fine weather, please :)

An amazing weekend at the Manx Telecom Parish Walk. Over the course of the weekend, participants walked 51,550 miles. We recorded 11,086 passings at 17 checkpoints and sent 21,991 SMS messages to support crews. And all results updated inside 2 seconds. Very big thanks to my team

It's been a busy month with Lighthouses Challenge, Gran Fondo and the Manx 100. Dreadful conditions even worse than 2018. A small mountain of kit to dry out today. Well done to anyone mad enough to finish any of the distances yesterday. Results & tickets are online.

Suddenly the end of the timing season is in sight: Busy August, with Quad racing, Canaccord, Marathon & 24hr Walk. September sees the Triathlon champs, 2-Day Trial then the E2E MTB & Walk events, followed by Granite Mann. It'll soon be Christmas!

After a few week's downtime, it's the annual Syd Quirk Half Marathon this Sunday (17th Nov). Time to get the trailer out of hibernation and get all the gear charged up. See you all on the Start/Finish line on Sunday :)

It will come as no surprise that we have seen a complete cessation of events for 2020. This is in the wake of the corona virus outbreak and consequent restrictions. Please check with individual event web sites etc for further information. Keep safe everyone.

Events are back on the IoM! The Manx 100 is "go" again on the original date and it looks as if we will see a full complement of events for the second half of the year. This is great news for the Island and we look forward to seeing you on various start lines 😉

A dark day for Manx Mountain Biking: Following a sustained campaign of course sabotage by an, as yet, unknown individual, one of the most revered events in the summer calendar was forced to cancel. Anyone with information about this should contact the organiser and/or the police.

Haven't Tweeted for some time as couldn't log in to the account! Happy New Year 2022 and a quick update on our new Active System, which replaces Tag Heuer. Used successfully on 3x events so far and very pleased with the performance so far.

Another amazing Parish Walk weekend completed. Not without it's logistical challenges, as always. Not least the Santon Box, which suffered a catastrophic battery failure after the 1006th walker. So if you were one of the remaining 201, your time at Santon is an estimate only.
