Breaks from the Grind are necessary, but use them wisely. Regain perspective and focus. Reassess your goals, weight room workout, cardio workout, personal development and mental game.

Changing modes into your sport, from me to team. No one practices harder then me. The best teammates are the hardest working players on the field or court, the pool or the mat. Be your best.

When you see a coach blatantly showing nepotism, their kids are slackers but still starting, no discipline for anything, exceptions made for their kids and they dont produce, you have a responsibility to your team to speak up and call it out. Meetings with AD's should work.

Holding players accountable can ONLY be expected if expectations are applied equally amongst the players. What about the expectations of the Coach? It should go both ways. Call them out respectfully with another Coach. Require everyone to walk the talk.

If you get offended by what I say you need to get real. EVERY player deserves your dedication and time. If you are unable to do that, quit wasting the players dreams and time.

An essential goal to any success should be addressing the negative. Why do they exist, are they a part of your success, how to avoid it creeping in and how to deal with it when it arises. Recognize it as part of your success not your failure.

Parents are only a pain in a Coaches a@# when a Coach has not defined their expectations of the players and parents clearly. Parents are a pain in a Coaches a@# when they do not stand together with their expectations of the Coach.

Clear and concise expectations of a program begins with the AD. If a Coach gets away with any questionable behavior, address it with at least 2 Coaches and a couple parents. If nothing is resolved, involve the AD. These types of communication help to distinguish the roles of all.

Coaches that exercise questionable behavior should move on rather then exposing athletes to them. Ill intentions need to be recognized and addressed asap.

Learn your craft, understand the smallest details and expectations, expect a straight answer when you ask a question. Raise the bar daily with your goals. Grind every day.

Keeping it real inwardly with perspective and the Grind, outwardly with impression and character. Connect the two with your dream of yourself, keeping it real.

The love of any sport should be reason enough for any professional athlete to share their talent and knowledge with others that have the desire to compete at any level.

Parents, know your athletes Coaches. Know their intentions and hold them to it. Agendas shouldn't be tolerated at any expense. Every athlete has a place on a team. If every athlete knows this, starting in any sport is not an issue. Communication and relationship building.

Understand your craft, know what it takes to make it your life, know what you bring to the table and bring it every day, every moment you are engaged in your craft. Dont just listen to the cheerleaders, also listen to the critics and ask why dont they see it. Believe and humble.

Best way to grow off season is to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. Reassess your upside, goals (long and short term), self-analyse your areas of concern. Develop a plan to address your concerns in a methodical way that makes you a better athlete and person.
