Oh yay, Gordon Gee is giving his State of the University address. Every time he gets a platform to spout his poorly contextualized factoids, an angel is fired.

Gee wants WVU to help create "A great public square." I mean, it'll be pretty empty because he fired everyone who could participate in it, but sure. Go for it. I guess those are words you're saying.

Gee argues that WVU should capitalize on its strengths in sustainability, an Appalachian arts and culture. This is stunningly disingenous; every road block possible has been put in the way of creating real interdisciplinary programs in these areas.

Gordon Gee says Morgantown has become a destination. That's handy, given that around 200 + houses are about to hit the market.

I have had several exhausting exchanges on social media recently & can report that the political 5 second rule -- if you thought of something in 5 seconds, so did the people living through the catastrophe -- is not as widely known as the other 5 second rule.

I have to go to something where the dress code is business casual. Like what is that? Do I wear a tie but also sneakers and say the word leverage and monetize?
