Maybe a hot take but I personally think this a bad game to play. Unless someone *actively downplays* another instance of suffering, I don’t mind if they only happen to advocate one oppressed group and not another. It’s good to be more informed, but hard to focus on everything.

So great how Blinken and von der Leyen are both being so outwardly immoral and giving the enemies of liberal democracy all over the world so much new free material to accuse the west of hypocrisy. Enabling atrocities and making the world more unsafe, two birds with one stone.
