.St. Joe CHS Softball Makenzie Garr had a solid day in the circle this afternoon. Garr struck out eight batters in St. Joe Central HS, 10-3, victory against Savannah.

Fort Osage outlasted St. Joe CHS Softball Thursday afternoon, 4-1, but it was a good pitcher's duel. St. Joe Central HS Makenzie Garr struck out seven this afternoon and she's already up to 141 strikeouts on the season!

.St. Joe Central HS senior pitcher Makenzie Garr is having another record-breaking season. She has 185(!) strikeouts on the season, which shattered her own record from 2021. Garr and St. Joe CHS Softball starts district play on Tuesday and she has her sights set on 200 strikeouts.

Big congratulations to Makenzie Garr for breaking her own school record in the shot put tonight on all 4 of her throws! Those 4 throws were also the best 4 throws for MSHSAA Class 5 so far this season ranks 21 NATIONALLY! Current shot put record now stands at 13.59m (44’ 7”).

Central had a good showing at the elite Bill Summa Track Meet held at William Chrisman. Makenzie Garr brought home a 1st place medal and broke the meet record in the Shot Put with a throw of 13.58m (44’ 6.75”). She also earned a 2nd place medal in the discus w/ 38.91m (127’ 8”)

.CHS Indians Track & Field Makenzie Garr has become one of the best throwers in the state of Missouri. Garr has been to state twice for shot put and discus and has made it to the podium in both trips. This week, she committed to MWSU XC/TF to continue her throwing career.
