Paramedic at SWAST, I love to be outdoors by the sea 🌊 or in the countryside 🌳. All views are my own.

Ooser Half 2021! It’s been a while and my legs aren’t thanking me right now but it felt good to get out there and run ❤️ instagram.com/p/CSWL8USKaFtt…

So perhaps I didn’t get as much pre learning in as I’d have liked between year 1 and year 2.. but I did learn how to drive the big yellow boo boo bus with these lovely NQP’s Rose and Ella thanks to a last minute space. BU ParaScience FutureQuals Cera Damien

As an ex professional cake maker it gives me great joy to share my latest creation 😂. It involved me removing it from a box and putting it on a plate. Happy days 🤦🏼‍♀️ Natalie Goldworth

New module starting today at uni on management of long term conditions. This might not have the excitement of emergency trauma scenarios (and Godzilla) but it’s going to be an important one. Bring on the learning! 🤓 BU ParaScience

Students would benefit more from learning and testing skills in these sorts of realistic simulations compared to an OSCE with a pt placed neatly in the middle of a quiet room with good lighting. AKA unrealistic!

A young Sam during Ten Tors training 1995 with RAF Air Cadet 1069 Squadron. We went on to successfully complete Ten Tors that year. Well done to all of the teams who completed #TenTors2023 this weekend 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

New (and final) module of year 2 started this week. Taking some time during my shift today to start familiarising myself with the advanced life support algorithms 🙃 BU ParaScience

Great to have 3rd years in this week for their last taught sessions! A week of activity to support their transition into autonomous practice. Plus one of our talented students made this cake! #studentparamedic #buproud

I realised this morning that I’ve already been on the road for 6 weeks! This steep learning curve is exhausting but so rewarding! Loving NQP life!
