Following the National Tuberculosis Control Committee meeting, IOM Jordan facilitated a وزارة الصحة الأردنية - led training for pediatricians on TB in children - covering diagnosis, management and treatment. With support from The Global Fund, we are working toward a TB-free Jordan by 2027.

Today, IOMJordan and وزارة الصحة الأردنية held a TB cohort review meeting in Jordan under the MER Programme, funded by The Global Fund. Together, we tackled epidemiological gaps, shared recommendations, and reviewed cases to enhance TB response.

With Support from the The Global Fund, and in collaboration with the وزارة الصحة الأردنية, IOM Jordan facilitated a refresher training for psychologists to strengthen their capacity on TB and HIV, with a focus on the link between infectious diseases and #MentalHealth.

To boost TB detection in Jordan, the Ministry of Health وزارة الصحة الأردنية, with IOM’s Middle East Response project and The Global Fund, has deployed two mobile X-ray vans. These units expand TB case finding and improve access to health services in remote areas.

#IOMJordan, with the Ministry of Health’s Epidemiology Directorate and Public Security’s Correction & Rehabilitation Department, trained prison health staff on rights based, comprehensive care to prevent diseases. Together, we advance dignity, equity & quality care for all.
