I had to WAKE MY KIDS* UP this morning at about 7:40am to get the big one ready for school. Feeling...suspicious, but hopeful that a new day is dawning. *they are 4.5/1.5 y/o.

The engineer on my train just had his last trip and his co-worker announced it and gave him a little tribute for his retirement (“a very fine engineer, one of the best”) and everyone clapped 🥹 🚊

7-year-old tells me some kids are masking up again “to avoid the tummy bug.” And casually throws in “Oh yeah 5 kids threw up on the blacktop today at recess.” 😳😳😳

My 3-year-old made up a new word and it’s perfect: “attackle” definition: exactly what you’d think (what happens during sibling horseplay…).
