He ushered her into his apartment, luckily, it was his night with scout so he was already here. "What happened?" He asked, concern written on his face.

"oh my god, is everyone okay? are you okay, like physically, obviously not otherwise but..." he asked, guiding her to take a seat on the couch. he was in a bit of shock himself.

He nodded, never great at the whole comforting word thing but he was listening. He cared, even if he couldn't articulate it. He sat next to her. "I'm sorry, I can't imagine how that feels. Memories though, they live on in our heart."

"You aren't bothering me, Amelia. I promise you that. I'm glad you felt like you could come here after everything with the fire. You can stay as long as you need."

He hesitantly placed an arm around her shoulder, not positive if she would appreciate the comfort at the moment. "Like I said, you will always be welcome here. No matter what is going on with us."

"You're welcome." He whispered, squeezing slightly and rubbing soothing circles on her shoulder.

"I did put him to bed right before you got here, but you know how long it takes him to fall asleep." He replied and nodded at her suggestion. "That sounds like a great idea."
