Well. They sure are surprising but thankfully it was just one. So who's this young lady who worries about her? She rarely meets nice people recently.

Then she must bow respectfully. The pleasure is hers. Náriel is her name. She may be a Maia but she's a fallen one and very few are those consider meeting her a 'pleasure'

She couldn't help but smile at the compliment. She's honored the princess likes her name. Náriel used to be a menace in the eyes of her kin back when the land was full of darkness. She thought some of that fear could still be somewhere in their hearts.

It is necessary for the balance indeed. If the princess knows this she must have a strong soul. For only those who embrace their fears should know what true power is.

A name that found its meaning only after the darkness claimed her. It was strange for the Maia to possess such name until she found the flame of both destruction and creation hidden within her existence. Something only darkness could awaken.

Why must she speak so little of herself? Not fearing darkness is a strength on its own. She must be proud of herself.

She doesn't believe she's strong enough?

It doesn't sound silly at all. Everyone has something to worry about. The princess may think she's not strong enough but in her experience that's a feeling usually born from the habit of comparing oneself with others.

She's still young and the years to come will sure add to her wisdom. Soon enough she will grow to learn that such worries are only meant to hold her back from finding her strength.

That glint in her eyes drew a smile on the Maia's face. She can see the the beginning of a light that will soon turn into hope and hope is what she needs to overcome her worries. She doesn't think.  She knows.

Náriel's smile grew at the sight of the delicate flower. Her hands reached carefully to accept the innocent gift from the princess, showing her gratitude with a slight bow of her head.

It's not everyday you receive a flower from a princess.

As it is for the Maia. She is glad to know the princess finds comfort in her presence. If she ever needs someone to share a conversation with Náriel would be happy to listen.

That would be a pleasure. She doesn't have anything to keep her from a little walk right now.

What a quiet evening. She may sing to pass the time.
