My department has a board with all staff’s pictures and it’s been bothering me that literally everyone is one it other than me; even people who’ve joined after. Decided that it was time to stop being bothered and do something about it. (Oh, the things we do to belong!)

The Netherlands celebrates the king’s birthday as a public holiday (plus a nationwide party!) but Labour Day - which happens to be a couple of days later - is not acknowledged at all. Says a lot about the country’s priorities, huh?
