Bibb County School District will be closed Thursday, January 23, 2025. According to Macon-Bibb EMA, icy road conditions are expected to continue into Thursday. Officials are urging everyone to stay off the roads until it is safe to travel.

A refreeze is likely again tonight once the sun goes down and any remnant water, snow and/or ice will refreeze overnight.  Black Ice is possible for locations with snow/ice still on the ground, so as a safety precaution, please stay home and off the roads once the sun goes down.

With severe storms expected overnight, be sure to plan ahead. Make sure you have several ways to receive alerts, fully charge your electronic devices, have a battery-operated or NOAA radio available, and determine a safe location in your home for you and your family.
