We are experts at creating problems, not solving them! Our lives in this complex world can only have a right direction if they are guided and led by God; otherwise, we leave one problem to fall into another, thinking we know how to solve them! Thoughts on 2 Chronicles 16 #rbHw

Only half of the pastor’s work is to gather the people together for worship. The other half is to send them back to their daily tasks equipped to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. If we forget this second part, the other can be positively dangerous.

In this day and age of social media, it appears that we are in a better position and moving faster than the noble teachers of Judah. Have we really used this tool to further the Lord's cause and hasten his coming? Has our life declared that we are part of the people of God? #rbhw

Both Jehoshaphat and Micaiah knew the will of God, but each followed his own understanding. Good people don't always behave well, and wise people don't always act accordingly. Ask God for wisdom so that you can walk in the light you have today. Thoughts on 2 Chronicles 18 #rbHw

True religion requires intimacy and commitment to God. The faithful spouse will not save the unfaithful spouse. Faithful children will not save God-indifferent parents; not even consecrated parents can guarantee the salvation of their children if they ignore God. 2Chron 24 #rbHw

It is better to lose money than people, just as it is better to lose riches than to lose a war. However, the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. Human discernment does not see the consequences of attachment to riches (II Chronicles 25:9). #rbHw

When God's people are willing to throw away their altars (v. 14), it is because they had first thrown them out of their hearts. True revival starts in the heart, which, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, generates a life of praise. Let the Spirit lead you today. 2 Chron 30

True religion requires cleansing of everything that gets in the way of a relationship with the true God. Hezekiah learned this principle and put it into practice in his kingdom, and he was one of the great good kings who ruled over God's people. #rbHw Thought on 2 Chronicles 31

As a World Church with many regions and moving parts, it's essential to define the success of an initiative. So how do you define the success of your smaller, local church? Gerson P. Santos #churchministry #AdventistChurch #ministryquotes

The story of Manasseh is one of the most epic conversion stories in the whole Bible, not because of what Manasseh did after his surrender to God, but because of what God did up until that surrender. God never ceases to love us as He tries to get us closer to Him. 2 Chron 33 #rbhw

The last chapter of the second book of Chronicles echoes the consequences of disobedience. Insistently, everyday, God's servants declared the message that would deliver them from destruction but they consistently refused it. He is calling you, hear His voice! #rbhw #GodFirst

Ezra 1 gives 3 clues to help us understand God's will: 1) God does what he promises. What has He promised you? 2) The Holy Spirit speaks to us. What is the spirit whispering in your ear? 3) He sends unexpected gifts as we advance. What surprises has God given you recently? #rbHw

Only those who experience deep afflictions and distress understand Job's afflictions. In these hours, God is questioned; however, it is in these circumstances that trust in Him becomes indispensable. Reflections on Job 6. #rbhw

Considering all that you have to do, can you afford the time for mentoring others? Wrong question… The better question is: Considering all that you have to do, can you really afford to keep procrastinating the mentoring of others? Do it. Start today.

The righteous go through tribulations, and God must deliver them from them; afflictions are not always the direct consequences of some wrong committed against God; they may, rather, result from faithfulness to God (Psalm 34:17; Revelation 2:10). Thoughts on Job 18 #rbHw

True knowledge of God must go beyond the printed page; beyond theory. He promotes transformation. It is the Holy Spirit changes the old man and softens the heart, transforming him “from glory to glory” (2Co.3:18), in the image of the one who created him. #GodFirst

The Sabbath is now more important than ever. It’s a weekly reminder that your value is not derived from your performance.
