UN Special Procedures United Nations's Mr. Special Rapporteur is absolutely correct. The situation in #Eritrea has not improved & only escalated since investigations. It's been ongoing since dictator gained power in 1991. Our people are disappearing & we demand JUSTICE! #RegimeChangeInEritrea #BlueRevolution

Happy #Ashenda to the indefatigable and stubborn joy of #Tigrayan women. You are the pulse that keeps Tigray alive; the heartbeat who endure, resist, and love louder than any attempt to silence you. Salute for pulling this year’s beautiful celebrations together!

Today is the 12th anniversary of 369 Eritrean refugees who drowned in Lampedusa (Italy) exactly 12 years ago. As Meron Estefanos wrote, one of them was 22 years old and was giving birth as she was drowning. Her body was later found with an umbilical cord attached to her baby.

Five years ago, one of this century’s deadliest wars erupted in northern Ethiopia. The U.S. helped stop the fighting, but the Pretoria agreement remains only partly fulfilled. Tigray is still unstable, there is no justice for victims, and tensions with Eritrea continue. A secure,
