Twenty years ago we invaded Iraq. The war killed many innocent Iraqis and Americans. It destroyed the oldest Christian populations in the world. It cost over $1 trillion, and turned Iraq into a satellite of Iran. It was an unforced disaster, and I pray that we learn its lessons.

Our students' voices are our most powerful guide for growth. 💡 We had an incredibly insightful townhall session with scholars from the UNDP Uganda Skills for Digital Jobs program! It was a unique opportunity for them to share their learning journeys directly with the UNDP

Tax authorities world over are now armed to the teeth to track every penny. URA can now chew through third-party big data with AI tax-tech tools and raise assessments on millions of tiny transactions with a click. Data intensive sectors, mobile/digital commerce etc to feel it.

Yesterday I was glad to attend the Julius Nyerere Leadership Centre (JNLC) alumni workshop at Makerere University , l met with my fellows we exchanged ideas, and laughed. My highlight was the power of networking. My fellow youths how are you networking? Who is your social network? Can you hold a relationship for years?

As a general rule, if you believe that LLMs have advanced enough that your doctor is using them to diagnose and treat you. Then IMO, the best action is to skip the middle man and just treat yourself directly with ChatGPT. Save yourself money, time etc. You don't have to come

Payment of allowances to Intern Doctors is not charity. Intern Doctors are not volunteers, and they are not students. They are doctors working in the system and deserve a reliable platform where allowances are paid on time. Instead, seniors in office chose betrayal.

In 2015, NMS bought only 6% of its medicines from local manufacturers. Govt then required NMS to buy locally whenever a medicine is produced in UG, importing only what isn’t made here. Result: 64% of NMS medicines are now locally sourced. Industrial policy works.

A surgical center in rural Uganda runs entirely off-grid. Solar power. Teak screens, woven Nile reed ceilings, clay tiles made by local potters. This is what African architecture looks like when planned with intention. 📍 Kyabirwa Surgical Center, Uganda Design: George K. George

Denmark is investing $83,754,486 in textbooks and turning away from its digital-first approach to education. This follows research showing that screens reduce concentration, impact mental health, and hurt student performance. Yet another dynamic to the EdTech debate.

You’ve never touched anything in your life. Not your phone. Not your morning coffee. Not the person you love. Every atom in your body is 99.9999999999999% empty space. If the core of an atom were the size of a marble, the nearest electron would be all the way out in the parking
