I'm no expert, but I think this is the aptly named 'Beautiful Demoiselle' damselfly, which I snapped near Martin Down #Hampshire while out looking at long barrows last weekend!

A 3D map of Historic England records for long barrows on the Heritage Gateway website. Draped on geology. You can see how long barrows are mainly clustered on the chalk (light green). #Archaeology #Neolithic #DigitalArchaeology

Surprised and chuffed to be nominated for a Marsh Award. All thanks to the volunteers and fantastic support of Bournemouth Arch & Anth , who have great trust in lending out their 'obsolete' equipment to local groups via LoCATE project. #MarshAwards #Archaeology #CommunityArchaeology

This has been the most fantastic partnership between Bournemouth Uni, New Forest NPA and local groups. Training and access to Bournemouth Arch & Anth 'obsolete' geophysics equipment has led to many surveys, great results and most of all a huge contribution to local participation + wellbeing

I have always wanted to see an Osprey since I joined the Young Ornithologists Club (YOC) in the late 1970s. Today I finally saw one at Arne, Dorset! RSPB Arne and Weymouth Wetlands

The @Neolithic is everywhere. Didn't realise I was eating my Wetherspoons breakfast while sat on the site of the Stanwell cursus, Terminal 5 Heathrow. #Archaeology
