I am stunned by the sheer number of planes flying on one mission. That is a total of 2385 planes. At the same time. That is many more than I expected. Think of the logistics of getting them all to the target at the righ time. For comparison, Ryanair has a fleet of 400 planes.

They were defending the outer perimeter of the Dunkirk evacuation. They fought to the last bullet. Then surrendered. Instead of becoming PoWs, by the Geneva Convention, they were lined up against a wall and machine gunned.

Monday 14th October 6.30 pm for 7.00 pm. Black tie. £100 per ticket - to support the Le Paradis Memorial Appeal. This will honour the 97 British troops massacred in N France on 27th May 1940 - a horrendous war crime that deserves a memorial in Norfolk.
