Of the three bird baths and a small pond Blackie always uses the bath at ground level next to my conservatory. Others rarely seem to use it so I think he considers it his own private bath.😊

I must have checked every Cuckoo flower in DWT Corfe Mullen Meadow for Org tip eggs, to no avail,but I did come across 6 Green longhorn moths ,Adela reaumurella. who obviously like these flowers.

The Orange tips obviously prefer DWT Corfe Mullen Meadow to my garden just up the lane.I have Bluebells, Honesty, Pulmonaria and more for them but still yet to see one this year so far.

Wondering if this is the fox that visits my garden for a snack each night.I spotted him as I leant on a gate at the bottom of my lane this afternoon.

2 Speckled Woods ,2 Peacocks, 5 Org Tips , just one (f) and 1 Common blue in DWT Corfe Mullen Meadow this afternoon.

Green winged orchid have increased a little but 8 could still count approximately 300 in both fields at DWTCorfe Mullen Meadow today. A lot look very chewed too. No sign of any common spotted flowering yet & couldn't see the leaves of the southern marsh in the lower field

'My ' bullfinch changed his habits yesterday ,suddenly got brave and came right up near my bungalow , and spent a while checking out my tomato plants😅

Very few insects in the woods at behind Pamphill church today but a Twin-spot carpet,Rhingia campestris,and a Common carder enjoying having this patch of bugle to itself.

Lovely to see a pair of Goldcrest around the monkey puzzle tree in St Stephen's churchyard Pamphill. Always a bit of a dark spot for photos but they were so close...

A juv blackbird showed no fear keeping me company as I walked through the shady wood behind St.Stephens, Pamphill. Hopping just a few foot in front of me then posing on a low branch for pics.

The bluebells in the woods behind St Stephen's Pamphill are very much past their best but out on the sides the the road leading to the The Avenue they still look glorious along with Red Campion and other hidden flowers like stitchwort.

So pleased to see a pair of Siskins back in my garden this past few days, but I only managed a pic of the male who came on his own this morning.

Not the prettiest perch but while sitting in my garden I heard one of the pair of the Chiffchaffs calling.Looked around the shrubs etc but spotted it on next doors ariel. Havent seen them since one raided a deserted nest in my old watering can two weeks ago.

After years of hosting the Barmy Starling Army , I've had none for a couple of years until now. There is a very excitable group of 30 + inc young around but only 5 have so far come into my garden.

Something sad has happened to the female chaffinch that is a regular in my garden. However I watched her during the day and she seems to be managing quite well and feeding ,so 🤞

I've been seeing my first of the year Holly Blue in and around my garden for over week, but it took me an hour this morning following it from plant to plant before I managed a couple of pics. Already has wing damage.

This Robin appreciated me cleaning and refilling the bird bath , he only wanted a drink ,not a bath. Maybe later!
