This sounds incredible, but this guy is 19. He was 10 years old when Trump announced his presidential campaign in 2015, and 12 when Doug Jones was elected to the Senate.

These people are now of voting age!

What is up with the kids these days?

Across the board, polls show an erosion of support for Biden among young voters. I talked to Lakshya Jain & John Della Volpe about why.

+ Our intern Jala Everett talked to voters on Spelman's campus about the '24 election.

NEW: my column this week is about the coming vibe shift, from Boomers vs Millennials to huge wealth inequality *between* Millennials.

Current discourse centres on how the average Millennial is worse-off than the average Boomer was, but the richest millennials are loaded 💸🚀

This detail from Alden González and Paula Lavigne's story on Ippei Mizuhara being charged with stealing more than $16 million from Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani answers a long-standing question of how he got access to the money. Full story here: espn.com/mlb/story/_/id…

This is pretty easily explainable. You don’t need to be a financial expert to make sense of it

Ippei was given full access and trust from Ohtani and used that to…
(a) impersonate his boss
(b) block Shohei and others from seeing the account
(c) lie, as the translator, when asked

Good news for people who for whatever reason don't have a thrice professionally revised essay about how getting into the quarterfinals of a high school interscholastic polo championship taught them the value of hard work, but this was never about covid lol.

The complaint alleges bank fraud, to finance “voracious appetite for illegal sports betting.”

Bookie: Ohtani was not involved.

Ippei: Ohtani was not involved. I stole the money.

The literal FBI: Ohtani was not involved. Ippei stole his money.

Hal0_Pride_TrouTGOAT714: this is fucking bullshit Ohtani belongs in jail

I don't understand why pundits do this. America spent ~50 years fighting about abortion and it's not going to magically go away now that it's suddenly become illegal in a large part of the country.

Overturning Roe wasn't the 'end of the debate' — it was just an inflection point.

Republicans don't need to nominate moderate Democrats. They usually just need to nominate people who...

(a) aren't incredibly weird turnoffs with room-temperature IQ.
(b) have some political experience, especially as an elected official
(c) actually live in the state.

This is a common criticism of my takes on the (in)electability of Senate Republican nominees, but it's actually not true.

'Generic Republican' is someone like Juan Ciscomani, Lloyd Smucker, or Mike Kelly. And that would be way better for them than Blake Masters and Dr. Oz were.

the point is that the GOP continues to blow winnable races by nominating idiots who would drink water out of a pasta strainer.
