A few months ago I started a fun experiment: I blocked every account that promoted a tweet in my timeline. This progressively makes your twitter ads weirder, as twitter desperately tries to find *something* to monetize. Now I'm getting ads for mining equipment. It's delightful!

Sea-level rise and Climate Change is already here. It is just not manifesting how its popularly imagined with the ocean taking over. It's manifesting in cropland becoming too inundated and salty to grow, and forcing a switch to Aquaculture. See, here, the Mekong Delta.

Apologies in advance for not explaining this in any way, but here are the daily standard deviations for Antarctic sea ice extent for every day, 1989-2023, based on the 1991-2020 mean. Each blue line represents the SD's for a full year. Lighter is more recent. 2023 is in red.
