I tried to write today during my normal writing window. I couldn't. Today is hard. My heart hurts for my friends who will be more impacted than me as a cis-white-male. My heart hurts at the recognition of the ugliness that is accepted, excused, and dismissed.

Tonight my circle of friends gathered in love. Friendship, community, and play bring catharsis. On the micro level we can check in and show up for each other even when the macro level feels overwhelmingly antagonistic. Also the players killed a fascist frog king in D&D. #dnd
